Rider Levels

For a more complete description of each level and the requirements, ask the Chapter Educator to provide you with a copy of the Rider Ed handbook.

 

 

GWRRA encourages all members to participate in rider education.  There are four (4) rider skill levels to acknowledge accomplishment  for safe riding.

 

 

The requirements for each of the 4 levels are listed below:

 

Level I - represents the commitment of the Rider and/or the Co-Rider to practice and encourage safe motorcycle operation whenever they operate their motorcycle.  The requirement for Level I is current membership and the expressed commitment of the Rider and/or Co-Rider to strive for and practice safe rid­ing.

 

Level II - Requirements

  • Be a current GWRRA member.

  • Be enrolled in Level I of the Rider Education Levels Program and have 5,000 safe miles). 

  • Have a current motorcycle license endorsement as required in the member's home state/province member's home state/province.

  • Must have completed an approved Rider course within the past three years.

Level III - Rider/Co-rider requirements

 

  • Be a current GWRRA member.

  • Be enrolled and current in Level II of the Rider Education Levels Program.

  • Maintain current First Aid or CPR certifications.

  • Carry a First Aid kit on the motorcycle.

Level IV - Rider requirements

  • Be a current GWRRA member.

  • Be a participant in Level III of Rider Education Levels Program and have been current in Level III for at least one full year.

  • Have ridden a minimum of 25,000 safe miles (40,500 km).

  • Be current in both First Aid and CPR certifications.

  • Wear proper riding apparel at all times while riding.
